The F3 Robot provides a powerful combination of high-speed
flexible automation, increased reliability and ease-of-
use. The F3 uses brushless DC servo motors, absolute
encoders and high-stiffness harmonic drives making it one
of the fastest and most durable robots in its class. With a
digital network and servo amplifiers embedded throughout
the arm, the leading edge F3 design minimizes both the
internal and external wire count, increasing overall
reliability. For End Users, this increases production rates,
reduces costs and improves quality whether the robot is
used for laboratory automation,
educational or industrial
purposes. Typical applications for the F3 include machine
loading, dispensing,
polishing, deburring, cutting, drilling,
trimming and a wide range of other factory floor processes.
The F3 robot uses the Thermo Fisher Scientific C500C multitasking
robot/workcell controller and the RAPL-3 programming
language. This powerful easy-to-learn and easy-to-use
language makes the C500C
controller one of the best
robot control platforms available. The C500C is also
capable of running over 30 processes simultaneously
for complete workcell control. Based on the industry
accepted PC-104 hardware standard, a variety of third
party options are available to take advantage of the
latest automation trends.
